Launch those lasers to space and you’ll receive world domination.

islands do not rock back and forth like ships.

    2014 here already lol.

  • toob247 says:

wow imagine all the enemies pretty chrome airplanes.

    j/k

  • Syed Abbas Naqvi says:

It’s bullshit. This weapon is centuries away from ready to use.

  • Doc Moore says:

They’ve had it since the ’70s.

  • Billy Gate says:

And then… China and Russia announces their new weapon: A giant mirror.

  • metalkez says:

Weapons, weapons, weapons, Fuck sake US stop being such maniacs for war and
try to do something useful for humanity… Giving NASA more money for
    research would be a start…

  • Feelthefx says:

but can it shoot down ballistic missiles?

  • FrakU2 says:

    Dear YouTube!
From now on I will skip every single video with “mandatory”, and intrusive
advertisements until there is no point in maintaining an account with you.
If I wanted to watch commercials I’d watch tv!!!

6 lasers combine to form one powerful weapon? Hmmmmm, sounds like a Death
    Star weapon to me…..

  • noobiesmurf says:

I’m sure it’s a total coincidence that it’s called China lake.

  • davidenespana says:

hmm… except when it’s foggy or raining?

  • Bruce Thomson says:

    - ‘Looks like quite a game changer to me.
    - Perhaps we’ll soon be seeing defensive weaponry that ‘climbs down’ or
locks onto the laser beam (or perhaps its homing-in
equipment/spectrum/sights) as a convenient targeting method to defeat the
    attack.
    - ‘Probably other countries will soon show their LaWS too. Maybe we’re just
back to who’s quickest on the draw. (Imagine warships all sitting out there
earnestly burning holes in each other.)
    - This’ll may be a new challenge to the armour market, and add a new bias
away from (has to be lightweight) airborne equipment vulnerable to it.

  • onthecuttingedge2005 says:

the way around the mirror shield is to increase the watts of the LASER to
the point that the LASER beam ignites the air around it as it lazes, this
would change the beam into a type of plasma beam that would eat through the
mirror like it was hot butter on toast.

  • Noah Hahn says:

Why not shoot them down with a sea wiz?

  • FrakU2 says:

I wonder if these people are looking into a multipurpose laser that not
only kills but uses a lower powered, more passive, beam for detecting
things that radar doesn’t do so well against like stealthy aircraft?

  • MrVirobot says:

Scrap the LaWS and send a few PMSing ladies and boom. War over.

  • Nathan Baker says:

It isn’t dramatic looking enough. Gotta figure out how to make it look like
the Death Star charging up whenever it fires.
Crushing enemy morale is just as important as vaporizing enemy personnel
    and equipment.
